Hail one n all ;D Right, time to try and arrange a moot or two me thinks. I'm aware we have members all over the UK, so this may not be easy. I'm going to start with northern England, hoping to set up a Kindred-UK networking/social moot, and all being well we will set up another moot or two in different regions as time/interest increases. To start with the idea is to have a moot quarterly rather than monthly, and if it takes off we can change it to monthly. All being well myself and Syn may even travel to other region moots once in a while so we can meet you all in time. So i'm asking all our northern based folk to suggest a venue city where we could possibly hold a moot. I'll start. We can get to Leeds, Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford, and with notice Manchester and York. So come on everyone, lets get one of Kindred-UK's original aims up and running at last Frith Lion

I could maybe get there. It would be quite a jaunt though. What kind of things are you thinking of doing? If it is only a short meeting then I probably won't bother, if it looks like a right good ol' shindig then I'll try my best

I've just put up a thread about this so ignore it as I've found this thread.
Yes good idea. York would be easiest for me as I live in North Yorkshire. If it was worth while in numbers and time etc Leeds won't be out of the question all depends on dates.I've just started my reenactment season proper.
Any idea what time of the year we are looking at?
Oswulf.

A friend has just reminded me of a possible venue in Bradford.
There used to be a pagan moot there and by all accounts was popular. It took place in a pub called the Beehive, friendly landlord, large backroom, draught ales n so on. I'll check it out sometime next week *schedule permitting*.
If folks would like to continue suggesting venue cities and maybe venue pubs i am working this all out. Weight up each city with numbers etc to make sure we can accomodate as many as possible with this.
Another thought i've had is this. What would folks ideas be if i opened it up to pagans and not just Heathens??. This moot was as i said popular and serves a large area not covered by exsisting moots. There are many pagans out there not online but if i advertise it well they will hear about it. Could help ensure the moot works n goes from strenght to strength.

Hel i've no objections to it being a general Pagan moot - i attend such in my local area and have met loads of great people (some of them Heathens whom i'd never ahve known about!)

I'm in Nottingham, so any of the areas mentioned are easy enough for me to get to. Haven't been around for a while, shall have to stick around. ;D

P: I've been running Hendon Heathen Moot in NW London For 18 months; don't get many people turning up, on some occasions it's just been me. It's been like that for years in London; there are loads of Heathens out there but they just take it all for granted. I'd like to think you folks oop North are a bit more enthusiastic; If someone makes the effort to hold a moot anywhere near your area PLEASE GO! I know of several Moots around the South that just fizzled out because no-one could be bothered on the night & just thought "I'll go next time"; eventually the people hosting it get fed up & there ain't a next time. Support your local Moot! Wassail! Phil.
